The winter Outdoor Retailer (OR), held in downtown Denver, is an expo of the latest, high-end outdoor gear aimed to target retailers and advertise product. This presentation shows off the goods from the top brands in the industry all the way down to up-and-comer designers and product developers. This year I have been asked to create 10 awards for a section of OR that showcases new product designers. The award is called “Radical by Design” and it is given to the most Rad newbies.
Nine months ago I purchased a 25 year-old business in Boulder, CO called the Boulder Sports Recycler, where I had been an employee for 5 years and where all this rope art began. We are a consignment store for outdoor adventure gear; hence the surplus of climbing rope for my art. Juggling businesses has proven to be a ton of work and a huge payoff. After an eight month hiatus, I'm back at the rope art.

March 2017: New Logo
This logo depicts 6 interlocking eight-knots in a 60 degree radial pattern. It is based off the sacred geometric formation of the seed and flower of life. The interesting discovery in making this design was the pedal-like shapes forming two interlocking flowers created by the intersection of the knots.
